Ed Heinbockel and the team at SavantX are extremely proud to announce they will be part of the Challenge Showcase at AFWERX 2019. The AFWERX Fusion Xperience is a two-day showcase and conference in collaboration with the United States Air Force. This event brings together top military and government personnel in addition to industry, individual innovators, academia, and investors. The goal of this event is to present, contract, and fund innovative solutions for Air Force areas of interest and facilitate an environment of connection and collaboration.
This annual event will be held July 23 and July 24 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over 300 applicants applied to be a part of the 2019 AFWERX Fusion Xperience, with 120 teams selected to present their solutions as part of an open showcase to attendees, including SavantX with their product solution, STARLIGHT. Selected teams from the AFWERX Fusion Xperience will get an invitation to attend the AFWERX MDO Showcase that will take place in September.
One of the most significant issues facing the implementation of new artificial intelligence is the need for time to carefully train and curate algorithms. Ed Heinbockel and his team at SavantX have provided a solution to that: STARLIGHT.
SavantX STARLIGHT allows the user to upload a CSV file of data and quickly identifies patterns, relationships, and trends. This includes patterns hidden in dates, times, trends in numeric data, relationships in codes, text, and numeric ranges. These relationships are computed and presented to the user in SavantX’s HYPERNAV User Experience. The user’s intent drives informed discovery through the tool’s strong visualization of signals and relationships.
Currently, with STARLIGHT users can upload and analyze structured data sets in the form of a CSV of up to 1,024 columns and 640,000 rows. This analysis is automatic and without the need for data scientists to curate the data or train algorithms. In the future, Ed Heinbockel and the team at SavantX are proposing to accelerate to a near-real-time system that would leverage GPUs at the core of the HyDRA routines. STARLIGHT is available as a standalone, client/server, web, or cloud deployable App.
Ed Heinbockel and SavantX are no strangers to assisting the U.S. Armed Forces. The team has been supporting the 25th Air Force for a number of years in other areas. SavantX Co-Founders, David Ostby and Ed Heinbockel, have executed on time and on budget on successful technology-centric projects for the U.S. Government for over twenty years to include the DoD, FBI, and Intelligence Community. Mr. Ostby and Mr. Heinbockel are co-authors on all issued and pending patents. Currently, two patents have been issued, and three additional patents are pending for SavantX technologies.
Ed Heinbockel and SavantX are thrilled to participate in AFWERX and showcase STARLIGHT. Along with a booth and giveaways, SavantX will have a monitor showing STARLIGHT in action!
Learn MoreIn response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, SavantX has deployed a no-cost AI-enabled web application to help medical and research professionals rapidly search, analyze and visualize the CORD-19 dataset to gain deep insight into hidden relationships within the data and answer important questions with no data science experience necessary.
Context: A Call to Action to the Tech Community was made on March 16 by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. The COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19) currently encompasses over 47,000 articles released by a collaboration with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health, Microsoft, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), Allen Institute for AI, and Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET). The literature encompasses COVID-19, the Coronavirus group, and SARS-CoV-2.
According to SavantX CEO Ed Heinbockel, “SavantX offers a powerful cloud-based tool kit for researchers working with the CORD-19 dataset to quickly analyze complex data related to COVID-19 and visualize hidden relationships that may otherwise not be recognized without AI. Making this technology available at no cost will hopefully enable researchers and scientists to utilize it immediately in their quest for answers to critically important questions about the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The SavantX PRO web application is optimized to use with the CORD-19 Dataset and offers a glimpse into the SavantX PRO enterprise application that encompasses a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) driven approach. This comprehensive, advanced analytics solution is complete with data visualization tools to aid in revealing hidden relationships in the data. SavantX is offering the SavantX PRO COVID-19 search and discovery tool as a free resource for coronavirus researchers and the medical community-at-large.
SavantX’s lineage includes open-source intelligence gathering tools for the US government. The patented technologies that drive SavantX PRO reveal hidden relationships and connect insights across data.
